I cannot drink the water here from the tap. It gives me really bad acid indigestion.
However, a Britta Filter with tap water through it is absolutely fine. Just goes to show how much stomach churning crap is in it before being filtered. Complete waste of money buying it cleaned twice before I drink it but I have no choice.
I needed to stop drinking fizzy drinks as it was rotting my gums so i started drinking more water, I used to hate water and it would make me screw my face up and id have to struggle to swallow it down.
I think you just get used to it as now I quite enjoy an ice cold water and gulp it with no thought at all.
Depends on your tap water! My mum's house has great tap water, and I can't tell the difference between it before and after it's been through the Brita filter. When I went on holiday to Wales as a kid, though, the water was so hard as to be virtually undrinkable without filtering it.
Tap water out here in New Zealand is much nicer than we had in the UK (lived about 30 minutes outside London). I can now leave a glass of water next to the bed at night and still drink it in the morning without getting gassed with chlorine!
I drink 2-3 litres of water a day, it's a great way to stop yourself feeling hungry as quite often your body is actually just after water not food.
