anyone else hate the taste of water?

I absolutely hate bottled water. I can taste the crap in that.

Our water here is pretty nice and not hard water. I cant understand people why buy bottled water. It's just seems like another "omg it well elfy innit" fad. I'd sooner drink fish poo out the river, at least tap water is that full of chemicals.

Same here, our tap water tastes nice, i suppose it dosent really taste of anything, if you drink from tap water in the south, it tastes like its been through 5 or 6 people, probably because it actually has been.

Thats because british water tastes crap, unless your talking about bottled water which is much much better. But tap water here really does taste awful...

It's the same thing though. Only difference is that tapped water has minute chlorine added to it.

Possibly better, don't they monitor tap water quality much closer than bottled water quality?

Also, does anyone remember that expensive water the cococola company was selling a while back?
I beleive it turned out to just be plain tap water they had run through a fairly basic filter at one of their main U.K. bottling plants.

Dasani ?

I remember cos I had to remove it from all the fridges at work. :(

You need help, you are part of the mutant generation that thinks water can be substituted!

I love water whether cold, still, hot or warm.... :D

London says it all, one glass has been through 9 other people.

I used to hate water but since I've started training i'm now drinking arounds 20 times more than I used to, a day.

I've found something wierd though, say I bottle the tap water it tastes really odd and off after an hour or 2

Water is great. If your tap water tastes bad, filter it and it should be a lot better. I live in Leicester and I don't know what I'd do without my filter jug!

Bottled water = suckage.

Just basic ph tests and per batch testing for contamination from what I remember, while drinking water has a whole government body looking after it.

Bottled water is the biggest scam going and plays into people ignorance about what they eat and drink.

Tap water + Filter + cold = Mineral water @ 1000th the cost.

To summarise, Water up north > Water down south.

Unless you want to take a shower and it takes 10min to wash the bloody soap off becasue the water is so soft!

The water we get out of our water despenser at work is ice cold and tastes really really fresh. Compare it with the warmer water we get out of our taps at home and its a bit minging. What we do is just fill up a big 2 litre bottle of tap water and put it in the fridge. It tastes a world better when its cooler.

It's all I've been drinking every day.

Water is about the only thing I drink, apart from the occasional Irn Bru. I can't taste any difference between tap and bottled water, but we get bottled water at work so I drink that most of the time.

/obligatory Water 4tw TBQFH.

All of you who buy/drink loads of bottled stuff really should get a filter; either a cheap jug thing or an in-line jobby.
Fitted in-line filters range from around £25 to Quite a few hundred but last quite a long time.

The ones I used to sell many years ago lasted 3yrs for an average household use and cost £200 fitted.

Compare that to what you pay for a 3yr supply of bottled stuff.

I am fussy with water.

I don't like Hard Water

But luckily i live in a soft water area and i love it but go 20miles up the road it is still soft water but doesnt taste nice.Even mineral waters i am fussy about. Like Aqua Pura but don't like buxton etc etc.

Gone through 2 power showers in the last 12months becasue of the water being to hard. Last one I took the element apart and it was just choaked with lime.

Full system filter cost a lot but still cheaper than 2 showers; might be worth looking into.

Hard water here, Severn Trent. I like it. :)

I see Gilly coming with a huge billboard saying Yorkshire Water>* nonetheless ;)

Pure water, distilled water, tastes like pap, it's horrible - you wouldn't want to drink it.

The reason people drink mineral water, apart from the handy bottled form, is the dissolved minerals, they give taste and it's a taste a lot of people like.

Around here (stoke-on-trent) all the water comes from limestone aquifers and thus tastes pretty much like a mineral water (excusing the chlorine and fluoride).

If you don't like the taste of mineral water - try brushing your teeth, perhaps it's not the water your tasting ;)

Its very wierd isn't it, I drunk some recently. It has a habit of really taking on the flavour of whatever equipment it was distilled and stored in.
