anyone else hate the taste of water?

I've recently given up all drinks but fresh fruit juice and water. Totally scrapping caffeine.

We have a water filter, but I still don't really like the taste of the filtered tap water around here. I have to drink bottled - I genuinely like the taste more... and I find it doesnt even have to be ice cold to be refreshing. Currently going through about 3 litres or so a day.

At least you can drink the water out of the tap in this country without spending the next week glued to your toilet seat - even if it has been through X number of other people first :D
My favourite remedy to the heat at the moment is some of that bottled french wheat beer stuff from my local tescos. But for the norm it's either tea or tap water if I'm thirsty.
Soft drinks are bad, m'kay? lol

When I lived in Bahrain you couldn't drink the water from the tap without boiling it first. Also we used to buy local 'sweet water' (from the aquefa - not contaminated with salt/sea water) by the gallon load, filter it then boil it, then it was safe to drink. The rest of the time it was Volvic or Evian water by the pallet load.

I like the taste of water at home, the past month i've been drinking several pints a day.

However the water at my student home in Leeds doesn't taste as nice :p That's prolly beacuse it's city water though :( Think it's best we get a water filter thingum.

Mee! But not the taste, just the idea that it doesn't taste of anything much, I can only have it when i'm really thirsty or it's very cold.

Have to disagree, depends where you go of course, but Scottish tap water is generally great

Hmm i like essex water has a nice mild chlorine flavour

I spose this is very subjective as to where you grow up and develope your taste for water..

I personaly think bottled water is " bland" if thats a way to describe water lol

At the end of the day tho i dont care what region/source/company it comes from as long as its wet and cold.

i come from sussex water down here is great so much nicer then any bottled water. bottled water is poo, if you ever had moutain water fresh it tastes 10x better then out a bottle and thats supposidly the same stuff in bottles.
tap water for me!!!!

Me.

I very rarely drink water as it tastes awful.

It's okay in orange squash though.

I see Gilly coming with a huge billboard saying Yorkshire Water>* nonetheless ;)
BIG TIME :D

Though not South Yorkshire, and don't even get me started on Humberside water (though that aint proper Yorkshire  )

@ the OP, I aint surprised you don't like tap water if you live in London, all the pollution and dirt and too many people and old pipes...

Water rocks. I love the stuff. I tend to drink Evian as I really rather love it, ice cold from the fridge. It's so refreshing and crisp. Tap water's ok, but it has to be ice cold.

lol i didnt think this post would create so many replies i'm impressed. I am still on that same bottle and how many hours is it. i started drinking apple juice instead. does that give me *** same as its mostly made up of water?

Exeter is in Devon...

Yep, I know that I come from a piece of Somerset that is near Dorset and Devon.

I just thought you might have known being a West Country Man. I seem to remember a programme on TV about 20 odd years ago showing people bottling up the local river (Piddle) water and selling it to the tourists? Might have been a spoof? I remember saying to someone in the 60s that I couldn't see how they managed to grow circular spaghetti when seeing a TV advert for Heinz Spaghetti Hoops, I was very shocked when he said it made from flour and water. I'd seen the Dimbleby April fools day snippet where they were harvesting, drying spaghetti and was convinced it grew on trees!

I don't like out tap water much, so I drink it fast! I think pure H2O (distilled water?) tastes of nothing at all, I want some of that :p

The chemistry teacher used to let us drink that in the school chemistry labs.

It had no taste at all, it just felt like liquid sliding down your throat. T'was weird.

Edit: You can get it at chemists in big 5 litre bottles for a couple of quid. I use it in my PC. :)

if you're talking tap water, it can be really hit and miss, depends where you are
my mum's tap water is lush, been drinking a few pints a day since i moved home

tastes the same as bottled water :)
