I use the standard WASD setup, while binding q to microphone chat for games like L4D2. I find using the arrow keys far too crampt, as its close to the mouse. For left handed people, i can see the arrows being more useful. But for me its the quick access to loads of other keys around it that helps me.
just hold your hand out in front of you, let your fingers curl naturally. Aim for the middle finger on W, and your little finger on Shift. The rest should naturally fall into place. Thumb on space, ring on A and index on D. I honestly couldn't use any other method.
Also, Razer Lycosa has illuminated keys. 3 settings: No lights, all lights, and WASD lights. the WASD lights are literally just those 4 keys.
