At my work place we have cameras setup all over the place so the boss can kept an eye on us from his home....

There even one in the lunch room so he can check we don't take longer then 10minutes for lunch

My old boss (in retail) used to come in and check the cameras from the day before (so he'd come in on a Monday and scan through ALL the video from the Sunday). That's if hadn't been working on the day in question, of course. If he was working he'd usually sit upstairs fapping, watching the CCTV.

Fixed that for you.

I had this problem a few years ago while working inside a factory doing glass work.

I was the only person working in the factory and felt it was put up just to watch me even though i was the most trusted person working for them, i ended up leaving because of it.

Years ago I used to work at M&S. They had all corridors segmented into lockable portions, with cameras in all of them, and watching over all workers 24/7.

Since then I have completely boycotted the company.

I don't see the problem with being monitored. I work in a CCTV control room, we have sensitive data coming through the office regularly. The room I work in with the monitors is also monitored 24/7. I don't see the problem with being monitored unless your worried they will catch you doing something you shouldn't be?

Used to work in the big orange H place when it had no cameras. I'd be sacked almost instantly if I was to go back and work there with all the cameras they have now!

I wouldn't like to have cameras watching me doing my work and scratching my balls etc.

I know my mum HAS to check the cameras from the day before as part of her job.

Seems like the TSA guy with all the monitors from South Park.

it was threatened in an old work place. I think many of the freelancers were threatening to quit along with the two perminant members. We didn't have much of a decent arguement to management, but we knew that all our health and safety violations would be recorded. Ones that management turned a blind eye as they refused to pay for stuff so we didn't do what we had to do to actually get the work done. If that makes sense? Basically it would expose them to some legal situations.
And that we needed a 5minute silly at times as the work was that dull the wee laugh kept as going as we relayed banter across the warehouse.

My current place(hopefully not for long) has a camera in the staff room to make sure you don't use your mobile phone. We aren't allowed to have them switched on. They even do random spot checks and calling around phones to see who still has theirs switched on.

Disciplinary if you're ever caught using a phone.

Most ridiculous rules ever. You'd think it was MI5.
