Anyone else here really dig olives!?

Can't stand them. I heard that they are an acquired taste so every few years I try them, decide that they are hateful and wait another few years before trying again.

love them to and buy them fresh every week.

you cannot beat olives abroad though, i'm not sure what it is but olives in spain, tenerife etc come much more plain but taste mmm

I found them an acquired taste, but I love them now.

Nocellara are really good with a little bit of garlic.

Used to despise olives as a kid however grown to love them! We have a french market it down every so often and the olives they sell are amazing. They also do stuffed chills with feta cheese mmmm

Some olives I love, some I hate. I suspect it's a quality thing but I've never got around to testing a bunch.

I've bought an olive tree to have on my decking - no olives yet, but assuming I can get it to survive a Northern winter, I'm hopeful for next year.....

Prices for them should be rising with a bad crop year showing global production down 19% to 2.5m tonnes. So oils will be more costly too.

i want a olive tree. keep us informed how it goes

They had loads in Homebase - there was a big one with actual olives on (though not very big) but it was £70 and I'd have needed a van to get it home!

But yes, will do, got a fleece for it, and will over winter it in the greenhouse I think
