Anyone else here throw controllers?

i tend not to get too violent with games. I do however suffer terribly with "gaming torrets" my girlfriend's kids learnt several new ways to insult people when i bought COD4!

Now if we're talking about non game related totally unrational behaviour and losing it then i've pulled some blinders before, my favorite was when changing fork oil on an LC350 yamaha and i couldn't remove the fork top. My angle grinder helped but then i couldn't ride the bike for a couple of weeks and was about £100 light after buying a new fork leg.

I am new to consoles still, and while I can take most of the games in my stride and not get worked up, that does not in any way apply to Ninja Gaiden! It has me cursing, turning red, and very nearly thrown my controller. It was only a matter of time before my controller went flying so am taking a couple of days away from the game.

I only hope Ninja Gaiden 2 is not quite so bad. It needs to be hard, yes, but not quite this bad...

i dont think i've ever thrown a controller, probably simply because i know im the one that'll have to pay for the replacement

SWoS on the 360 has me beating the hell out of my controller so i tend not to play that anymore. Last night when i was playing soldier of fortune and kept dying on the last boss it took a bit of a pounding.

I swear lots too :(

Used to throw controllers so hard they pulled the console off the table. This was many years ago, I'm to good to get frustrated any more. :)

Yep, Tony Hawk games caused me to break my original Xbox behemoth controller (took an impressive amount of throws though) and I managed to break a 360 one last week while playing FIFA, opened it up and fixed it though.

Yeah i have broken a few snes pads in my time! Damn rainbow road in the original mario kart and that cheating AI!!
M.Bison would also get me worked up when trying to finish SFII turbo without getting hit- damn that long reaching throw!

Broken some of the old microswitched joysticks, back in the day, but just due to over use/poor quality rather than anger.

Can't see the point in throwing controllers in anger, I never get that angry at a game or level/boss etc. Just try harder next time.

My old Xbox controllers had been known to fly across the room every now and then, and PES 4/5/6 on the PC used to result in the PS2 controller occassionally slip from my hands into the opposite wall. I've tried to remain a bit calmer so my Xbox 360 controllers are still in good working condition, I just swear a bit more :). Since I stopped playing PES, my gaming frustration has also reduced a lot!!!

I swear loads! Used to throw my old SNES controller around a lot, but now I just think of money and the time and effort it would take to replace.

So I just punch the bed/pillow :p

Mainly happened when I was playing PES6!

Yep...when playing COD4 on the PC I had 2 mates who were playing def jam icon on the 360 really enjoying it then heard

"oh ffs!! £$%Q£%&^"^%£$!!!!" then me slamming my clenched fist into the desk :p if that would've broke then that's 3k worth of equipment on the floor :o

When playing the 360 I had to take a break the other day from DMC4 when fighting I think it's Angus...my god he's annoying.

My brother once threw his ps2 controller and it pulled the console a bit and fell 5ft to the ground and killed it :D
