I used to use Firefox many years ago, but when Chrome was released, I switched - Firefox was good, but Chrome seemed to have a slightly slicker and more streamlined interface, and I've used it ever since.
However, last night I was sorting out my speaker setup and listening to YouTube music vids and realised that I wasn't getting proper speaker fill using Youtube....a bit of digging exposed this is a problem with Chrome not properly using 5.1 setups. Tried a couple of fixes which didn't work, and heard that this was something other browsers didnt suffer with. So, I thought "sod it" and went off to download the latest Firefox.
I've already noticed that it seems to have come on a lot since I last used it. As well as Youtube now outputting better audio, I can now log in to sync passwords, bookmarks, etc (sure I couldn't do this before). I've also noticed that the interface seems to feel a bit better - scrolling seems "smoother" somehow, and also, I've noticed font seems a bit clearer to read to my eye. I know differences between browsers are often small, but I'm thinking of just switching permanently.
Anyone else switched to FireFox and found improvements over Chrome? Not sure if it's just a consequence of trying something new - I can't seem to find anything FF cant do which Chrome could. I also downloaded the browser for my phone (Android) and it seems pretty slick there too...much easier when you can just log in and sync everything, as with Chrome.
