Anyone else moved from Chrome to FireFox?

I used to use Firefox many years ago, but when Chrome was released, I switched - Firefox was good, but Chrome seemed to have a slightly slicker and more streamlined interface, and I've used it ever since.

However, last night I was sorting out my speaker setup and listening to YouTube music vids and realised that I wasn't getting proper speaker fill using Youtube....a bit of digging exposed this is a problem with Chrome not properly using 5.1 setups. Tried a couple of fixes which didn't work, and heard that this was something other browsers didnt suffer with. So, I thought "sod it" and went off to download the latest Firefox.

I've already noticed that it seems to have come on a lot since I last used it. As well as Youtube now outputting better audio, I can now log in to sync passwords, bookmarks, etc (sure I couldn't do this before). I've also noticed that the interface seems to feel a bit better - scrolling seems "smoother" somehow, and also, I've noticed font seems a bit clearer to read to my eye. I know differences between browsers are often small, but I'm thinking of just switching permanently.

Anyone else switched to FireFox and found improvements over Chrome? Not sure if it's just a consequence of trying something new - I can't seem to find anything FF cant do which Chrome could. I also downloaded the browser for my phone (Android) and it seems pretty slick there too...much easier when you can just log in and sync everything, as with Chrome.

Gone the other way for my new build, installed, all my stuff re-appeared and not looked back. Been a long time FF user, differences are more personal now, horses for courses!

I did as I found chrome was getting clunky and becoming the new IE. It still works on other machines I use for home and work but my main rig I have gone back to Firefox. Only annoyance with FF is the scrolling isnt too good.

The 41 update for FF has increased performance/responsiveness in general with the browser back to levels it hasn't had in awhile but they seem to have broken page scrolling in this update :( hopefully that will be fixed in the next one.

EDIT: Looks like it was solved 4 days ago according to their bug tracker so next update should have a fix.

I really like the Firefox 64 bit version(on 42.0B2 version), seems faster and rock solid, yes all my extensions/bookmarks work fine and it even installed them from my old 32 bit version of Firefox on upgrade, so lost nothing.
Btw on Win10 Pro x64.

I've not thought about going to FF from Chrome as I really like the add-ons you get like Chrome Remote Desktop. I've started noticing Chrome is getting resource heavy, sluggish and clunky - Nice to see FF is making a decent comeback, may have to give it another go.

I've always been a fan of Firefox and is my main browser at home, Chrome does have some really useful add-ons like remote desktop which I use regularly at work.

Part of the reason I prefer Firefox is the fact Mozilla are non-profit, they are developing the browser to be the best for the user whereas Goggle's motives aren't always so clear.

Obviously Google want Chrome to be good for the user too but I think that is of secondary importance, serving ads and harvesting data seems to be their top priority.

I have never really enojoyed using chrome, not sure what been putting me off it. Been a fan of FF for a good while but only thing i dont like about FF is it uses a lot of RAM at times.

I was an avid FF user for years then this slick Chrome came along and I moved. The Chrome got fat and resource hungry so I went back. I really like the most recent updates and the performance is fantastic. I also use Edge for comparison of things and find the combination works well. Bye bye it was swell but the swellings gone down now!
