no can't say I'm regretting the upgrade when I did it. I had to buy a new rig so I did and bought my opteron 175 system, then my dual athlon mp died on me anyways ![Frown :( :(](/styles/default/xenforo/vbSmilies/Normal/frown.gif)
Due to the opterons motherboard dying I bought a second mb for speed of replacement and had a spare one so bought a cheap x2 4200+ that I put in my fileserver and it's exactly the same speed when using it in 3ds max as the 175 (no overclocks).
Currently looking at switching the server to mobile cpu and sticking the x2 in a sugo like the 175 and using them as a mini render farm for 3d work so it won't go to waste![Smile :) :)](/styles/default/xenforo/vbSmilies/Normal/smile.gif)
Can't see any reason to upgrade to c2d at the moment but will probably upgrade later in the year to a dual quad mac pro (if they ever release one), will still keep the x2's anyways as they were part of my initial plan for my business setup.
