Yes. Ordered the Amp extreme on release day, Im hoping i can crank settings higher from my 980ti and avoid frame drop. just on all round better experience. It may or may not be enough for CV2 but in the year or two I will enjoy this and then upgrade again.

Being sensible... decided against the 1080 Ti for now.

Going to sell my 1070 and pick up a second hand 1080. If I am lucky my outlay will only be around 150.. whereas doing the same for a 1080 Ti is going to be more like £500!

Looking forward to having a more consistent 1.4 SS.. maybe a little higher.

Interesting that people want to hit 2.0 SS. I thought that there were diminishing returns after about 1.7...

my 980ti can quite happily run 1.5 with a small overclock so you should get more than 1.4 on a 1080.

Depends on the game of course ;)

Its more like.. I would like to leave it there comfortably and not worry about what game I'm playing.

I actually really don't like it when I can see reprojection kicking in.

Moving to a 1080Ti I would likely stay with 1.6SS but ramp up the in game detail.

That's exactly what I wish to do... obviously a 1080 alone won't cut it but maybe I will stay around 1.4 or 1.5 and keep just one or two details off max.

I'm also really interested in ED running as best as possible... I think that might be the main reason I want at Ti haha.

I'm currently on a 4690k and 980, and thinking about getting a 7700k crank it upto 5ghz and throw in a 1080ti.

I have to stick with nVidia as my monitor is a gsync XB270HU. Just so expensive given i've just dropped whatever on the Oculus itself recently. At least there's none available at the moment, giving me that cool down period to ponder if i should spend the money.

Sent my titan xp back within the 30 days and swapped for a ti. Biiiiigg saving. Would have kept the titan if it was marginally faster.

Just setting up the pc the now with water blocks on cpu, gpu & mosfets built in to mobo cooler. First water cooling build and it hasn't exploded yet...

Very happy with my decision in the 1080.

Leaving SS at 1.5 and not really having to worry about any reprojection is great.

I will probably get the 1170 when it comes out so I get all those delicious frames in more graphically demanding games. Until I start making serious money I think I will be skipping the Ti every generation.

1080 was fully maxing my 4690K @ 4.5Ghz, just upgraded to a 7700k and loads of CPU headroom left now.

I got a 1080ti for VR, have been playing with it. Elite Dangerous running fine with 1.8 SS, 90-100fps with 11ms (ish). Card is watercooled.

I upgraded to one from a 970 to improve the min settings in project cars. Now I've nearly all of the setting on ultra and 1.2 super sampling which makes a huge difference.

Robo recall also was clear to see the increase in power.
