They have removed a lot of that x games stuff after people complained about it so that is a bonus.

Also you don't get the Gymkhanna mode until a few hours of play in as it goes back to the proper rallying style to start with.

Reviewer on gamesradar said it is amazingly addictive in that "one more go way", sound promising! I am looking forward to it anyway!

cant wait for dirt 3 loved the other 2 played them on xbox not pc so now i have a decent pc graphics and everything should be much much better

I hope this game doesn't have the crashing bug like dirt 2 and f1 2010.,I had to force dx9 in both those games just to play

I could complete a few races in dx11 but then it would crash loading back into the menu.

i dont see the point in giving a person an older inferior version of a game when they buy the new one

why would they even bother playing it? i wouldn't

I played Dirt 2, and enjoyed it so much I went and got Dirt 1 and started playing that. So yes, I think they would. Especially in this case, where Dirt 3 doesn't represent as much of a leap in graphics quality over dirt 2, as dirt 2 did over 1.

Considering this is an updated version used for F1 2010, you can bet the rain effects will be some of the best of any game.

Yes, but I'll get it after it's released in case Codemasters screw up with this in a similar fashion to F1 2010. Also, if it's like DiRT 2 it'll be bundled with everything.

Codemasters racing games are absolutely not console ports. How can a game that looks that good and runs so well be a console port?

While I'm 99.9% Richard Burns Rally guy, I'm really looking forward to some arcade rally racing with Dirt 3. Dirt 2 was the perfect mix of playability and racing but the menus almost ruined the game. Dirt 3 just seems to have improvements all over the place. Maybe it's even worth plugging a wheel this time around as I preferred keyboard on Dirt 2. I even saw some ditches in some videos. At least Finnish gravel roads have ditches all over the place but very few rally games actually have those.

I wonder if Dirt 3 can challenge Rally Trophy as our racing game of choice in our LAN parties. Rally Trophy has held it's own for nearly ten years now but the tracks are getting a bit old at this point
