Anyone Getting DiRT3?

As above, it's great to see the tracks so thanks for the vids. I have, in fact, pre ordered on the back of them.

While I'm 99.9% Richard Burns Rally guy, I'm really looking forward to some arcade rally racing with Dirt 3. Dirt 2 was the perfect mix of playability and racing but the menus almost ruined the game. Dirt 3 just seems to have improvements all over the place. Maybe it's even worth plugging a wheel this time around as I preferred keyboard on Dirt 2. I even saw some ditches in some videos. At least Finnish gravel roads have ditches all over the place but very few rally games actually have those.

I wonder if Dirt 3 can challenge Rally Trophy as our racing game of choice in our LAN parties. Rally Trophy has held it's own for nearly ten years now but the tracks are getting a bit old at this point ;)

Bought Dirt 1 and 2 in a Steam sale once. Played the second one not too long ago for a bit but was pretty disappointed. Graphics were great, but the gameplay was a bit lacking I found. Racing is one of my least favourite genres, but some really grab me. This turned out not to be one of them! :p
 
After watching those videos, ill wait till it drops to 20 quid on the ps, or drops on a steam sale reduction.

Ill buy it for the funfest and to complete my collection of every game in the series, but for 30+ quid, id have only gone full price if it offered decent rally stages.

I tend to buy my ps3 games at retail, i enjoy trips in to town, it'll be 30 quid on the shelfs pretty much everywhere, what i payed for dirt 2.

The pc version is the 2nd choice, dirt 2 was enforced last time out with it's late show on the pc, but truth be told i enjoy codemasters racers on the console, though i normaly pick up both versions.

That being said though, ill wait till they drop 20 sub... the videos posted don't realy show long term challenge.. much like dirt 2, great and a blast, but found it's way to the dusty shelf as soon as it got boring repeating over and over just to unlock stuff.
 
Got Dirt2 with my 5850. While I, like most, hate the caravan front end I loved pretty much everything else, was really surprised. Looks stunning too. I will be getting Dirt 3, but just bought the Witcher 2 and need to make sure that is finished 1st.

Oh my alarm is going off... means its time to get up and watch the F1 qualifying in spain!
