Anyone got the Tamron SP 24-70mm F/2.8 Di VC USD?

Good point, I will just concentrate on my little baby (and my first), the D5200 :D. I can always sell them if I don't keep this camera.

Sigma looks a good shout, thanks :)

EDIT - started saving for the lens :D - £439 from E-infinity which seems to get positive reviews.

Quick question, about to order the 18-35mm but have just noticed the Sigma USB dock for supported lenses. Worth getting? I can't quite tell if it's just for those who know what they are doing or also useful for those that don't but it still helps fine tune automatically.

It allows you to tune autofocus. If you don't have AF issues then it is not needed. Basic AF issues can be adjusted on most camera. The USB dock allows you to have different micro adjustments for different focal distances.

Unless it is cheap in some kind of bundle I would just buy the lens and test it. If you have problems get the USB dongle. I got one thrown in with my 150-600mm, and although I still need to do some clinical-level testing i dont think there is an AF issues so I haven't used the dongle once.

Apologies for the bump but I am really pumped :D

It just arrived. It certainly has some weight to it, feels great and well built. Should hopefully get a chance with it in Wimbledon Park tonight :).

Thanks again for your help D.P. + co.
