Anyone had the snip?

Had mine done last year with no issues and was working that afternoon

Yea man, had mine at around 10 years old. Couldn't **** straight.

edit
LMAO completely misunderstood HAHAHA

I haven't got the snip, just no hood ;)

About a month ago, nothing to it, be sure to take a week off work and fill the fridge with beer, doctors orders are do nothing but rest for a week.

Just get an ugly wife, problem solved ;)

Not got kids and both the missus and myself don't want any. Pill has worked for years with no problem. (touch wood)

Ah, you wouldn't be able to get the snip on the NHS anyway then.

Worst comes to worst...aren't vasectomies reversible these days? That said I don't see why wifey can't just remain on the pill. Better her inconvenience than an op rendering me half a man :p.

Why is that then?

You can't have a vasectomy on the NHS if your:-

1: In a childless marriage.
2: Single.
3: Under 25 and you have one or two children.

Varies slightly depending on your location (some NHS trusts don't do vasectomies at all) but that's the gist of it.

They are but very low success rate - something like starting at 25% success upto three years dropping off rapidly each year after down to something like 5% success after only 10 yrs.

Half a man my arse - I've had more nookie in the last two months than even when we were trying to conceive (which indecently only took two weeks for each of our three kids - which maybe explains my desire for the snip!).

Re: the pill - gave my wife terrible mood swings and headaches, really wasn't good. Oh, and you know the pill is only 95% to 99% effective - meaning that anywhere between 1 in 20 to 1 in 100 shags results in a pregnancy whilst using the pill - oh and don't have sex if she's on anti biotics. Don't even get me started on condoms :-)

that's not how contraceptive percentages work.
It's per year not per shag, so 1 in 20 years to 1 in 100 years. But yes it causes lots of problems for many women, which means they can't use them.
