Anyone have a green laser?

the red laser pointers you see in shops are only 1mw and are harmless the one above pops ballons at 50 feet, stings skin, lights matches, ignites balsa wook and the beam is visible even in day time, it looks like a huge green lightsabre in the sky and you can see the beam hitting the clouds but the beam doesnt get past the ionosphere

And the second it catches a reflective surface, it burns your retina.

Seems like a pointless rip off gimmick to me lol. Have fun :)

blue lasers cost a bomb
and why would i need one, the answer is i dont but i want one!
my 35mw one could pop ballons at 10 feet but this should be a beast, it can also engrave on leather

could be hard to import one anyway since i dont think they are legal. Due to some health and safety regulation or something, laser pointers in the UK are limited to 1mW or something like that (lasers in a dvd drive are more powerfull then that, but thats because they are not a laser pointer and so wont damagae peoples eyes unless you missuse them).

apparently there are no problems with import according the company selling them and the user reviews, also i dont think they're illegal, are they? the british army use them.

just mod a dvd burner laser diode, onto a battery, will pop a ballon ignite paper, permanently blind you in a fraction of a second, much more fun, and theres no "beam" to track you with, so you can blind and burn while remaining hidden.

from wikipedia
"Visible laser pointers (400-700 nm) operating at less than 1 mW power are Class 2 and visible laser pointers operating with 1-5 mW power are Class 3a. Class 3b lasers emit power between 5 mW and 500 mW (0.5 watt) and are not allowed for laser pointers"
UK only allows class 2.

true
anyway i will be wearing the safety glasses supplied when using indoors but not when outdoors

You better be damn careful if your using it outdoors, if you blind someone i think that counts as one of the most serious cases of assault.

outdoor will be at the woods or shining it at the hills or in the sky ect, it can only blind if it hit the cornea directly and for more than a fraction of a second and on top of that it needs to be close up
