Anyone have a green laser?

no i am not a chav, and there will be people on the hills im shining at but this is a pocket sized laser it cant blind anyone on a hill 3 miles away
Would you prefer it if it did? How exactly would be feel if you did damage someone's sight?

You don't need a laser and they are illegal in the UK for a reason.

yes infact they do, to be a optition you need certifications in physics, im studying physics at the moment at a-level
I thought you were 16?

When you can potentialy blind other people or animals, with something you want to buy just so it ammuses you, then yes people on this forum will argue with you.

ok, i want this laser because it is a useless gadget that will amuse me, i asked if anyone had one not did anyone approve of me purchasing one. i for one am sick of being criticised on this forum by people who love to argue.

It's illegal, has no legitimate use and I hope you get caught.

As we are not allowed to encourage illegal activity. What do you want us to say.

im still not sure weather it is illegal or weather many are just making assumptions, light shows at concerts use 125 mw green lasers and shine them into the crowd, this is done legally

sure get one but hopefully you will only blind yourself and no other inocent animals and humans out there. surly you can spend your money wisely or maybe save it

Um... PHYSICS uses BIOLOGY?

Right, son. Right. I guess I must have missed that whole biology section of my degree, then?

All areas of science interlink as some point. Have you not discussed the effects of ionizing radiation in physics?

I would imagine that physicists working with lasers know the effects on biological tissue.

Fine. Then go ahead and give the nice US company your $125. When they come back to you and say 'sorry, we can't import to the UK for legal reasons' and refuse to return your $125 since they are not accesible through UK law it will be a valuable lesson to you.

The blink reflex is nowhere near fast enough to prevent eye damage from these types of laser pointers.

No. We discuss the emmission of ionised particles from the excitation of atoms and molecules, as described by Schroedingers equation (the governing equation for quantum mechanics). The biological effects of such particles or energy-packets are totally irrelevant to a physicist.

I must say that is the only thing you've said in this thread I agree with. Answering questions which were never asked and not wanted seems to be a sport around here, unfortunately.

i already said the company has a 100% sucess rate with importing and exporting.
everyone is wishing i blind my self for purchasing a laser that can afflict sutch damages assuming i will cause harm to other beings, i am lost for words really at the moment. i understand the dangers of this laser and plan to use it carefully, obviously there is some chance that if i shine it in the air it MAY hit a bird but the chances are it wont do any damage. please stop ravaging my thread and let the people who are interested in the same things as me reply
