Does anyone have any thoughts about 13 amp v 32 amp hot tubs. We are considering a hot tub but I worry about electrical load on the house. We would end up with an ev charger, Air source heat pump and 32 amp hot tub and we only have an 80 amp main fuse for the house. Western Power won't upgrade main fuses to 100 amp anymore unfortunately.

I have read that the 13 amp tubs don't heat and jet at the same time but would the heat loss while the jets are on be noticeable?
Looks like you can also get 20 amp hot tubs (and maybe 16amp)

We are looking at buying a new hot tub, we've seen this one.

Anyone used this company before?

Personally I'd go for fewer more versatile jets. Last thing you want is way too many jets which all take some of the power from the pumps. Some of the specialist jets in my hot tub are extremely powerful and provide a deep massage, where as the other seats that have say 8 jets, are weaker and are just a nice bubbly tickle.

To be fair, out of the 95 jets only 14 are air jets, the rest are hydrotherapy.

More interested in the company being reputable, etc...;)

All you rigid hot tub owners please don't scoff, but I thought we'd get an inflatable peasant one to check out if it's for us, then upgrade to a permanent one if we use it lots. Trouble is, I can't find one available anywhere!

This is what we did. Think we had it for a couple of years before we got round to sorting the garden out last summer. We gave it to a friend once the new one arrived and all she had to do was replace a seal as it had started to leak. She had looked as well and couldn't find anything in stock.

The full fat version gets a lot of use and had I known, I would have gone for it straight away instead.
The inflatable was a lot more comfortable than I thought it would be and it retained heat surprisingly well but the 'jets' are disappointing in comparison.

Finally found one in stock and collected it yesterday. I'm reading up on how to maintain it, and I think I'll need to dig out around a guttering downpipe to fit a drainage grate for water changes.

Also couldn't resist ordering one of these:

Just buying a few bits in preparation for the grand hot tub opening, and would like some advice from seasoned hot tubbers about any must haves.

It's going around the side of the house, to the rear of the garage, in a little nook.

I was thinking about some DC festoon lighting to string up above the tub, but then thought about possible moth and insect attraction in the evening. My Mrs is bad enough when an insect comes nearby, she'll probably freak out if it happened in the tub!

Ordered an outdoor mat to have beside it.

Anything that's really handy?

Thanks
