Anyone having issues with xbox live?

I'm trying to recover my account and I can't :(

Bloody ****. It comes up with an error "Xbox Live signup is currently unavailable" after I;ve input my gamertag, email address and then password and takes me back to the dashboard! It did this with my GF the other day, after the tenth try it worked.

I'm faced with this more and more these days and currently nothing online is working for me.....Just spins and spins forever.......Grrrrrrrrr! :mad:
 
Stupid question but if I recovered my my account elsewhere on someone else's 360, could I go back to mine, and use it offline?!

Yep, thats the same thing i have(minus the boobies,lol :D) , just the spinning lights.

I think so. It only knows that the account is not on your normal console and needs to be re-downloaded when you go on Live.

Now I am getting the same thing as KennyBhoy!! I am never gonna get this 300 download finished at this rate!!

(Weird thing is I can still see Friends signing in and out and invites,so I must be online in some form!!)
