Anyone hear applied for the Apprentice

I applied for Junior Apprentice and had the initial interview.

It's 100% about how you fit for TV for the first round, for sure.

They got 14 of us in a room, all stood behind a number, in front of about 4 TV execs who hadn't read our applications, and didn't know our names, background, nothing.

You stood behind the numbers and they would call it out and you had 30 seconds to tell them why you'd be a good candidate.

The people in the same room as me that were the sort of people you'd think would do well, including myself, didn't.

The blonde lass who was bricking it outside telling us how she had no experience etc and the tall fella that started with the line 'I'm attractive, charasmatic and charming' did well.

After that, I unfortunately couldn't tell you what they did, but I know it was a 3 hour plus interview process as that's what they told us beforehand.

It was a good experience, not one i'm bitter about as I may seem from my post there, but it is honestly about what makes good TV for I'd say 75% of it, and if you've seen the programme then you'd realise that.

It was good fun.

I sent off a bit of a CV but I was sooooo outlandish in some of my claims that it probably never got through the first round of sifting....

Someone here was pitching a product to the apprentices as part of a task if I recall. Or maybe it was dragons den, or both. ;)

I did that on The Apprentice.

My mate applied to be a 'candidate' but changed his mind. I'm sure he said it was really tough and a bit cringeworthy.

You need the gift of the gab to be remotely accepted in these sort of shows

Indeed. You generally need to be someone who isn't good enough to already be on £100k but talks like they should be. Generally it's full of people no one really wants to employ at a senior level.

Also you need to be an incredible liar and a two faced person

My girlfriend's colleague was on the show. She gave it the biggun before going on, was utter rubbish and fired first I think, and had the walk of shame when returning to the office. :) Can't remember her name, will ask GF.

EDIT: Alexa Tilley - second series of The Apprentice and was fired on the 3rd week.

Third week is not bad, as the screening and all the psych tests and just to be in the last 16 isn't that bad
