I have been in a few Hindi and Gujarati movies. Being a white British guy living in India I do get offered a fair few 'foreigner' roles.
And I have been recognised in India on a couple of occasions.
I am not an actor in any sense of the word, buts its a pretty good experience, its pays relatively well for what I have to do.
Famous? No I don't think so.

Been on BBC news a few times with my old work stuff (either interviewed or filmed doing my job), been interviewed in The Sun for the same (got a grovelling apology letter from them after they leaked my personal details when they got hacked a while back) and been in the far, far background of a bunch random videos which used various airfields such a Clarkson's "Heaven or Hell", Fifth Gear episodes etc.

The lady I worked with decades ago was married to a pretty decently famous bollywood singer. He was my local taxi driver.
