Anyone here on T-mobile?

0.49 down
0.53 up

Full 3G signal in Newcastle upon Tyne

My contract with them ended 31st March so im now on a 30 day rolling contract. To be honest i've never been happy with their speeds and will probably be changing to another carrier when I get a new contract.

I used to get at best 0.50 down and 0.30 up when using t-mobile from the operators list.

Since they combined with orange, i now permanently use the t-mobile orange as the provider, instead of the standard t-mobile.

My speeds range now from 1.5 to 4.0, depending on where i am, only tested in my local village and smallish town near by, not had the chance to test in larger places yet.

Just tested mine for the first time since the change over to Orange/T-Mobile and i am quite surprised:

Ping: 96ms
D/L: 3393kbps
U/L: 547kbps

My last speedtest result done just before christmas was...

Ping:119ms
D/L: 1312kbps
U/L: 338kbps

Both tests were done in Middlesbrough whilst at work, at about the same time of day, i had 3 bars out of 4 on the little indicator.

Quite happy with that tbh, it seemed very slow before.

how do you go about setting the operator to t-mobile orange, my orange SF just seems to switch between t-mobile and orange depending on the signal strength atm.

There is no way you are getting a ping of 5ms via 3G

Dunno - This is just what I read off the speedtest app. See pic below
