Anyone just given up on looking for a new GPU?

Thank you! Joined Telegram just to do this.

Do you know if there are bots for lower-range cards? I'm after a 1650S for my partner's light gaming computer, and the cheapest card with Tensor cores for Tensorflow training (2060 IIRC)? The bot above is great but only for the 30X0 range of cards

Not sure on the lower end cards mate, only know of this stock alert.

Let's make a list of users here who have quit pc gaming
Steam concurrent users are up by almost 3 million the last year. Nothing seems to be able to stop the PC gaming juggernaut.

After a year of trying, I finally got lucky in the recent drop and bagged a 3080FE at RRP. My good ol' Vega 64 sold within 2 days of being listed online but 2nd hand prices definitely appear to be trending downwards, even if very slowly.

Out of interest, what did you get for your 64?
I have a 56 I'm going to post this week.

Asus is pricing the RX6500 arond 300€, I think this might fall under the definition of robbery.

Hilarious. The card's been stripped down so much i didn't even think it would be possible to push for anymore than 200, the card won't hold it's value whatsoever. I'm not even sure anyone can produce something worse, but then again i still read of people on here buying 1030s and 730s NEW

Have you got the source for the price?

[Edit]
Just seen the article.

In an unusual feat of willpower, I've managed not to succumb to upgrade fever, so far. And my 1080Ti is still chugging along nicely with what I play, even at 3440x1440. Although the temptation to purchase and flip a 3080 is kinda strong, it wouldn't feel right. So I'm going to wait to see what happens later this year.

Keep the 3080, sell the 1080ti. Still fetching good prices, you could upgrade for around 250 quid net spend..

So this thread is just fake news then, anyone can find a GPU to buy
No, there are obviously a lot of problems with pricing & supply. But part of that is due to huge demand, because people really want to play PC games right now. Many people are making do with what they have, what they can get their hands on, what they can get passed down to them by a freind or family member etc.

No doubt if the current situation were to continue forever, it would dent the appeal of PC gaming, but it won't continue forever.

That's also a possibility. Does your 3700X bottleneck your 3800FE much? My current plan is to upgrade my 3800X to a 5800X3D, and then see what happens with Graphics Cards. But maybe I'm thinking about this wrong?

It will to a degree yes. But at 1440p, it's really not so noticeable and not something to really worry about as you're far more GPU limited at 1440p and up. This system games fantastically. I'll be getting a 5900x or something of that nature this year too and I reckon that'll get a bit more out of it, allow it to stretch its legs a bit. But it's really fine as is.

I'd do it, your old card will sell no problem right now. The card is more difficult to get than the CPU, so get that first and sell while second hand prices are still good.

Which is funny, considering the same is happening with consoles.

lets hope you get a 3080ti not a 1080ti

Oops, yes it was a 3080Ti. Things an absolute beast. Turned HL Alyx upto 11 and its still running smooth, even with a wireless connection. Can hear the fans picking up, happy I didn't try and get the 3080 or 3070.

Everything I've thrown at it runs buttery smooth cranked right up on 3440x1440 and 4k with DLSS off :)

Its mainly due to mining/crypto...
