Anyone not like being overtaken?

OK, I change my mind a little, I don't like being overtaken by speeding car transporters over pedestrian crossings in the middle of Southampton.
Especially after they try to cut me up to join a roundabout, then tailgate me for half a mile weaving from side to side.

Didn't you know, anything with an S-Line badge is immediately the fastest thing on the roads.

On my way to and from Brighton on Saturday I found loads of folks who didn't like being overtaken.
First on was a middle laner on the A23 at one of the points when it goes from three lanes to two; nothing inside him and he actually puts his foot down when he realises I'm going to get past him before my lane ends. I really had to floor it to get in and then he gives me lights. Some folks.
About 30 minutes later and I'm clockwise on the M25 and there is some bloke doing 80 in the outside lane, with two clear lanes inside him. I don't like undertaking until I've exhauted all other options, so I flshed him. He veered into the next lane, and as soon as I was past him he pulled out again and flshed me? I pulled over to lane 2 because the road was clear, but he stayed in the far right.
Some folks are just weird.

I work as a cop and was using an unmarked car one day, had some nugget on my tail who when I went to turn right got all irritated, beeped his horn twice and waved his fist at me. So as he went past I motioned for him to pull over. He was quite white faced when I had words with him.Hate people tailing gating when there is no need for it.

since the start of the summer hols, the driving on the motorways has definately gotten worse.
the number of people i saw tail gating insanely, flashing high beams, doing daft undertaking manouvers, only then to travel along at 80mph in the middle lane because they werent actually in a rush.
at one point one of the cars being flashed and swerved at looked just like a midlands undercover car (skoda octavia)

Had a good one on Saturday. Slow-moving (45 in a 60) car in front, Audi A4 diesel estate behind that, me behind the Audi, and the last in the (short) queue. Overtake opportunity arises, and I pull out. I'll gloss over the fact that the Audi pulled out without looking even though I was already on the wrong side of the road starting the overtake - he was driving an Audi so I expected muppetry. He overtakes and then pulls in, then realises that I'm not going to pull in behind him, but I'm going to overtake him as well. At this point I assume he changed down and floored it because he car gave out such a huge cloud of black smoke I thought the engine had let go. Black cabs give off less fumes than this clown. Best bit: if his car accelerated to any great degree I didn't see it, and I was past him in about two seconds. At least he didn't flash his lights at me though...

that's the problem when overtaking 2 cars, you have to be very careful that car in front isn't going for an overtake too..
had this happen plenty of times in norway. clear overtaking opportunity, so i indicate pull out and boot it, but then the muppet in front pulls out too without indicating or looking.

if there's enough time, i'll hand back for a few seconds to see what they're doing. the problem is, on windy roads, the window is very small

I once did a four car overtake like that. It was supposed to five cars but after being on the wrong side of the road for several seconds (the road is the A1198 - dead straight for long stretches) I had already passed three of the cars when the last car finally decided to pull out to overtake the 40mph muppet ahead of them. Them = 40mph. Me = xxxmph and new set of trousers. I would like to thank Brembo right now.

how people can overtake without checking their mirrors beggars belief 
regarding mirrors, i've seen so many people driving about with both mirrors folded in.
i once forgot to fold a mirror back in before i had electric ones, and i had a ****ing fright when i checked my o/s mirror and i couldn't see anything as it was folded in. promptly pulled over and stuck it back out.
scary stuff, was weird expecting to see behind me and seeing naff all
