Anyone own a Maseratti?

Just like an alfa. Nice to look at and drive, but it's a ticking timebomb.

Wouldn't bother with a 9k maserati.

I know of someone who has a 4200GT and an e61 M5 touring, he regards the M5 as by far the less painful to run(!)


Incidentally, he's got a RR Phantom and a 12plate Focus diesel for taking to the shops and other stuff, his parents live with him in an wing of his house, he retired at 40 having made a lot of money out of mobile phones,not jealous at all, annoyingly he's a really nice down to earth chap you'd not look at him twice driving the Focus, which he seems to use most often!

Anyone thinking of buying a car like this is not doing it for sensible reasons, but emotional ones.
If he's always wanted one then he should get one. Even if he only keeps it for a few months at least he's scratched the itch.You only live once.

This. If he wanted sensible he'd buy a Mondeo diesel.

Why a Maserati? Why not Porsche or an Aston Martin etc. He obviously wants one. Worst that can happen is it breaks down a lot. As long as he has another car why not.
