The Linux OS you install communicates with the hardware via Sony's hypervisor. This is intended to keep you from h4xx0ring your b0xx0r and playing games on it. download with torrents (good for getting them xvids,divx)
run mame,snes emulators.
Stream from PC, instant messanging, office, firefox browser, so yes basic pc needs
