Its an excellent movie i really enjoyed it, it draws you in and holds you there and you cannot predict the plot.

I actually liked the fact that it was sub'd as it would have lost something if it was dub'd

City Of Men was a kind of spin TV series after City Of God. I keep meaning to get hold of it.

Amazing film, watched it on Film4 on Friday night. Next day went to www.****.com and bought it for £6.99.

I was a little put of before watching it due to it having subs, but once I started watching it I was so immersed in the film and I didnt actually notice I was reading them.

Bought this after hearing it mentioned in the lyrics of a song, thought it was spot on to be honest, agree with the subtitles - gives it a real geniune feel. 10/10

Agreed. Unless of course you can't read... Which i'll assume is the case for anyone that even mentions subtitles as a plus or minus to a film!

Fantastic film, Up there on my list of favourites.

The most amazing thing about City of God is some of the cast members and extras from the film were chosen from the actual city they were filming!

some? Think it was all except a couple (knockout ned, the actor who plays him is quite famous in brazil or something)
