anyone slept in an airport terminal...

was just looking at flight times for a holiday. i'd arrive at Gatwick at 23:05 and my onward flight would be at 0830 next morning. is it ok to hang about for the 6 hours or so? be a bit of a slog but hotels are about £60 at cheapest and i'm on a budget

anyone done this or...

Hmm spent overnight in Heathrow twice
Once in Gatwick too
Once in Doha

Gatwick had comfortable chairs and so wasn't too bad.

1st time in Heathrow overnight was a few days before xmas a few years back when most flights were grounded because of fog and that was a nightmare. No Seats left apart from those near the doors. Slept on the floor of a check-in area

2nd time in Heathrow was during a summer and so was warm and not too bad. Spent most of the time walking around the different terminals and on the little train between them while it was running.

Doha was like a fridge!!! Absolutely freezing inside the airport terminal although the chairs were quite comfortable!

*shivers in fear* well had to wait 4 hours, didnt sleep coz i was travelling from spain back to good ol'newcastle so the heat kept me awake

Sleep? Bah, just stroll around the duty free shops, drink loads of coffee and play around with your laptop/phone. Worked for me
