Anyone still gaming with a 939 cpu? :p

i'm sitting on my 3800+,mobo and ram and just can't decide wether to sell or make a second browsing system for the kids

i'm putting my s939 3800+ on ebay tomorrow, along with 3gig ram and an asus mobo... I'll let you know how much it sells for ;)

If I can get 100 bucks for the lot, I'll be laughing.

s939 x2's really seem to do well atm on that site and with ddr2 prices going up as well i think you should get near the £100 mark for it all :)

I'm also still on Socket 939. Opteron 175 @2.6 at the moment and 3gig RAM. Not had any problems with any games I've tried. I do itch for a new system, but just have not found a reason to upgrade yet:)

My Socket 939 4400+ bottlenecked a 9600GT, I overclocked the card and it made no difference, no surprise there.....

When I put the same card in my i5 PC I doubled the frames rates instantly.

Had a 4200+ at 2.5ghz with a 4850. Games played, but struggled.

Replaced it with an Intel e5200 and the card flew. A 260 with an AMDx2 is a waste.

My old house mate used to have an AMD 4000+ / Nvidia 7800GTX 512MB combo about 2 years ago and upgraded to a Q6600 set-up but kept his graphics card and saw a good improvement in FPS

If I had a decent s939 setup, I'd flog it for decent money and upgrade
