Anyone travelled with Qatar Airways or Emirates?

I've flown with Emirates. UK -> Australia return (economy). Fantastic airline, would choose them again in a heartbeat. Service was outstanding, food & entertainment both excellent.

I rate Emirates on a par with Singapore airlines in economy.

They are both very good, economy has had AC power on every route I have flown with them and thier ICE is usually bang up to date. The last 777-300ER I was on was a fantastic aircraft. Even had the live cameras dotted around the exterior of the plane to watch on the ICE

Flown from Bangkok to Gatwick before via Doha using Qatar Airways. Generally very good service IMO

Food was really nice and the entertainment system was good.

Flew quite a lot with Emirates at the start of the year, didn't have a problem with them at all, everything was fine.

Luckily got one of the A380s for one of the long hauls which was nice, still seemed all new

Been with Qatar a few times. No problems at all, good food, service, seats and entertainment.

Only been with Singapore once and found the seats in the 380 far too firm. Excellent service of course, though. Never been with Emirates.

Thats what I loved about the A-380, even had a camera at the top of the tail fin which gave a fantastic view of the sunrise over central Australia.

I found the tail and nose cameras on the A380 very disorientating, the ones of the 777-300ER are better.
