Anyone tried Crucial M4 Firmware 070H ?

Crucial was praised by so many for m4 drives and now this shambles with firmware. Am on 10g which makes the m4 128 disspaeare once in a while and not sure what to do.

But this doesn’t make sense. You say you are using the 10g firmware, but your drive disappears from time to time. Maybe try updating the firmware and see if that little bug is fixed?

I've been very lucky with my drive, havent had any issues.

That would make me very uncomfortable. How often does it happen and what do you do to rectify it?

If it's the issue I think he is referring to it's a result of powerloss/hard shutdown, it requires a power cycle which I do by leaving it sitting in bios for a while, then all is well.
Annoying but never had data corruption/loss.

Installed the update yesterday as I'd had intermittent issues like those it was supposed to fix (not being seen from time to time at boot)...

I used the windows 8 updater and it all appeared to go smoothly, it worked fine straight after the update but this morning it decided it wouldn't appear on boot so had to sit at the 'boot screen' for around 20mins, I couldn't even get into the bios on my board without unplugging it.

Eventually got into windows and all seems to be ok for the time being, hopefully this is a one time thing because it will be rather annoying to need to do this on a daily basis.
