Anyone use home cleaning services?

Because of the busyness, I can not clean my house properly, so I always trust on the online cleaning service.

And Now in Dhaka, anyone doesn't need to spend time anymore to clean home, Shomadhan is bringing the cleaning expert to doorstep!

To help forget about all hassles of cleaning a house and to save precious time, Shomadhan is bringing the best cleaning service right at doorstep in Dhaka.

Thanks for that

4 bed detached, 4 hours a week is enough for all 3 bathrooms cleaned, kitchen, vacuum and dusting plus ironing a weeks worth of shirts for me. £10 an hour plus agency fee (£50 a month) inside M25. Mrs CO does clean up the night before!

A good cleaner, when you find one is worth keeping and reduces stress (we are both at work 6am to 7pm every day so weekends are precious!). A bad one is a nightmare, so do your vetting and use an agency!

Anyone ever felt a bit anxious/paranoid with a cleaner running around cleaning while you're at work or had issues ?

More data…

4 Bed detached, big kitchen, wood floors and 3 baths. 4 hrs per week @ £12.50 hr plus £50 a month agency fee so £250 month all in.

London burbs.

When it comes to problems, and they will come, the agency fees are worth every penny.

Holy thread resurrection!

I was going to ask why there were so many deleted comments, but then noticed the usernames so realised it was spam posts. I guess I can't link to my own website then :p

I actually run a deep cleaning company and do domestic cleaning too. Any questions please quote me and I'll happily answer.

BTW we charge £18 per hour including materials.

By way of a serious reply I'd love to get someone in to clean the bits I really hate doing, namely the bathrooms and kitchen. It's hard to justify with the economy the way it is though, and I can do it, so it's something I can just do for free using my own time.

I'd be cool with getting someone in for a few hours like once per month but I suspect a contract with a cleaning firm would be more like a weekly arrangement.

I'd like to to get a cleaner but it's a catch-22, I never seem to be able to get the house clean and tidy enough that I'd not be embarrassed to have a cleaner round. It's like some vicious circle, I typically spend about 3-5hrs at the weekend on it but then by the next weekend it's about 80-110% as messy as it was when I started.

1. Cleaners don't care
B. Having a cleaner booked will likely encourage you to be a bit tidier.

Win win. Give it a go. If it doesn't work out, text them to no longer come back.

Also looking at this.

If I had a 3 day weekend I wouldn't but with only 2 and wanting to be outdoors cleaning always comes second.

And I'm noticing certain areas get neglected (I looked behind the dishwasher today.. That needs to see a vacuum!) but the day to day cleaning stops me doing a proper clean.
Also garden needs more time in summer. So even more neglecting the indoors.

But I don't want to pay loads, but I suspect half the cost is the call out.

Just having the bathroom/kitchen done once a fortnight would really help with that "big clean day".

then do it. that and get them to just vacuum the rest of the house, will save you a bunch of time and allow more for better tasks.

2 hours every fornight. 45 minutes bathroom, 45 minutes kitchen, 30 minutes vacuum communal space. easy

I know this is going to vary a lot regionally. I'm in South Wales and was wondering what to expect cost wise from 2 hour session?

Have a cleaner for 3 hours every other week for £30 a pop. Shes great but we had 2 cleaners before her that were rubbish. One was a noodle and wouldn't use anything that wasn't eco and would waft around the house and get little done.

The current one is great but she is quite overweight and listening to her clean makes me worried for the day when I am going to have to find a new cleaner...

Seems like its quite hard to find a good cleaner from talking to others that have one.

As others have said, they are there to clean, not tidy IMO. 3 hours allows her to clean everything in the house (3 bed, quite large). I also don't want her to come into a disgusting house. I also don't want to live in a gross house for a week plus.

Its funny hearing about the different clients she has and their different attitudes. Wonder what she says about us :p

One family she goes to just don't do any cleaning between visits and she says its disgusting every time she visits.
