Had a 'coupon' and sort of spent more then I planned...
Building a new system and bought a
1tb sn850 and 1tb sn750.

I'll use the 850 for my OS/games drive and my 750 for work (you can see what I value more

So will I be glad I spent extra for a nice 850?
Originally I thought I might get 1 Nvme drive a PCIe 3.0 and I got 2 now arriving .

Putting them in a b550 board btw.

The 3 negative points raised in the tom's hardware review for the SN850 is putting me off it but I don't know how much they matter.

1: Hot under heavy load

The included motherboard heatsink should make this a non issue I would think? I'm not paying an extra like £35 for the heatsink version.

2: High idle power consumption

The other drives are better than the SN850 including the 980 Pro for this. It seems to only be by about 1 watt or so but still something to consider.

3: Lack of AES 256 bit

Seems like Samsung has it. Gotta be honest I doubt this matters since if you were to sell it or whatever you'd just run a secure erase in BIOS.
