Anyone watch micro men?

I thought it was very funny and brought back a lot of memories.

My mate had a beeb and a spectrum, I had a TI994a and C64.
We then both went down the Acorn Archimedes route for many years.

Just watched this again - ROFL

Sir Clive Sinclair: "This new BBC Micro looks like it was invented by a blind bulgarian brick layer"

Also:

"Games, Games, everywhere I go, games. This is what my lifetime of achievement has became and reduced to. Sir Clive Sinclair, the man who bought you Jet Set ******* Willy".

Stuff Bill Gates, Sir Clive Sincalir, I salute you, you are the original haX0r.

How strange that Acorn, despite all their publicity from the BBC still went bust before Sinclair.

Does make you wonder what would have been if the two could have got on....

I actually work with on of the people depicted in Micro Men (Jim Westwood).
Usless information - The real Jim Wetwood actually makes a cameo appearance, he's reading magazines when Freeman's character goes looking at computer games.

Anyway, Jim says that the underlying story is quite accurate.
Although of course things were very much exaggerated for the program.

WOW

Well, next time you see him, thank him on my behalf.

Tell him I am requesting I be buried with my Spectrum when I die.

Honestly, that thing was such a big part of my childhood.

A PC just would not have been as special.
