anyone wear them..

What i'd like to know is... how do the diesel pumps always get covered in diesel? Do they poor a bit over their hands first?!

I've just moved from a diesel and my hands used to ALWAYS stink of it after filling up.

I see taxi drivers often use them, I guess some feel it would be unprofessional to stink the taxi out with diesel fumes.

People don't let the diesel on the nozzle drip off into the filler after filling up, so when you hang the nozzle up it runs down onto the handle. Same thing happens on the petrol nozzles, but because petrol is so volatile it evaporates very quickly.

Dunno, most of the taxi drivers I've encountered in Bristol have been high on petrol fumes! :p

Diesel pumps always seem to drip so I wear them if there are any paper towels to grip the trigger with.

ive never touched a diesel pump but i tend to only see bmw drivers wearing them, so i guess they have diesels

Only BMW drivers wear gloves at the petrol station.
Only BMW drivers tailgate
Only BMW drivers sit in the outside lane all the time
Only BMW drivers overtake in dangerous places

the last few i saw were bmw drivers

but what you said is all true :)

I didn't see any of the Audi pit crew at Lemans wearing them while filling up at Lemans. They are all diesels.

And I thought it was just me that had noticed this coincidence ...
