Are Gigabyte OK with coolers being removed for WC'ing?

They say no, as they shall be releasing their own waterblocked versions and hybrid cooled versions in near future, any cooler removal will void warranty on Aorus.

Well that's extremely unfortunate. They won't be getting my money with that attitude.

Just had another chat with them.
This is what they are telling me, there are warranty void if removed stickers over screws, however you can remove the cooler to fit a waterblock.

BUT

If there is any sign of physical damage to the PCB the warranty will be voided, no questions. So yes you can do it, just don't scrape or mark it.
Gigabyte are putting a note next to the OcUK account so they know any RMA's from OcUK customers with the stickers broken or removed won't void warranty, but warranty will be void if physical damage is present.

Gigabyte expect stock end of next week, then to ship from Asia to ourselves, probably the following week, but we don't expect many, maybe 10-20pc on the first wave, we've already pre-sold 3 units since posting this up, so to get in on first wave people need to be fast as always.

The 2080 versions should arrive a couple of days sooner!

Do we know what the power limit or boost clock for the xtreme will be?

They are working on them, 2080 is 1890MHz which I think is one if not the fastest 2080 and in short that means 2000MHz out the box.

I suspect they will try to outperform all competitors with 2080Ti as well.

So Gigabyte have informed me the stock of 2080Ti should ship into Netherlands hub on 7th November, it will then ship from there exclusively to OcUK in the UK and will take 2-5 days to arrive, so we expect to ship the backorders around 10th of November. They cannot confirm the quantity yet but they know we have pre-sold around 40-50 units of the Xtreme model so fingers crossed they do their best.

Into Netherlands, to be shared for whole of EMEA, as such they have not done the allocation yet.
Gigabyte are in at OcUK HQ tomorrow and should hopefully be able to inform me how many is coming to UK and how many of those we are expecting.

If this is accurate, and it seems to be, based on the fact Kit Guru’s testing matched Gigabyte’s own figures, then how the f is that same cooler going to cope with a Ti chip?! It’ll sound like a Dyson. I hope that this isn’t my experience with the card.

Gibbo, I’m sorry to even have to ask this, but what is the deal with returning the card if it works, but sounds like a Dyson under load?

Returning it is fine, I've already shown Gigabyte that Kitguru review and asked exactly the same thing. Awaiting feedback.
