All Gigabyte laptops ARE otherwise Maxwell... I just didn't realise that Maxwell didn't support SLI so that they would be forced to use Kepler in this case.

Hi there

Yes both are built to same standard, I prefer the bigger one as its screen resolution is better.

The smaller one is more professional graphics/cad/photography as it has that glorious 3k screen, which is not as suitable for gaming, but it is still hugely powerful.
