APB Dead after less than 3 months

I played beta, was disappointed. I thought things might have changed and did a trial recently but there were so many unresolved issues... It is with mixed feelings I commit thee to the mmo graveyard :(

Bare in mind, my copy i have not got yet ( should be coming monday ) so it will still be sealed when i send it back - also appears they have removed it from thier website now.

I had a great time playing it and it was getting better slowly, i paid once then sold some crap and had 6 months worth of subs in the bag so im not happy...

They just released a half finished game, the idea was good but they spent so long on customisation, the music maker etc they forgot to make the actual gameplay stand out.
The Guns were unbalanced (but they were getting there), the game ran like **** on 32bit systems and hacking/statpadding were major problems.

I just hope a company that knows what they are doing picks it up, spends 6 months fixing it and re-releases.

I was in game today and weirdly they are still selling the game. I asked why and none of the staff knew it had been shutdown, that has got to be bad!

bought this game, played it for 2 hours and got bored of it, and the fact your had to pay for your hours, made me want to give it up even more. Payed £30 for a game that owners went bust after a few months from release, :|

Played APB a lot (150hrs according to Steam) - deffinately got my £30 worth.

Havn't played it much in the last couple of weeks though and can't see me playing in the future with F1 2010 and Civ V arriving though the letter box this week.

Still, shame it might not be going much longer - would have been nice to dip in an out of it once in a while.

Do these club owners just see you coming and put the prices up ten fold or something?

I only go out 2/3 times a year for a "ppoper" sesison and can burn through £500 those nights - however we normally end up in a Casino/Gentlemans club and those places rip through your money like no tomorrow :-)

Exactly the same here for myself and my girlfriend. We both thought the character customisation was ace but the actual game was pants.

Feel sorry for the ppl who bought it very recently though - that sucks.
