APB Reloaded Open Beta... Delayed :/

Downloaded and playing ... pretty good fun.. Its just GTA 4 but properly done... Love the customization in this game.. so much detail.

Joker carbine seems good to me it my current weapon of choice for long range and pray to god at close ranges.


only played a few hours.... Does anyone understand how to level up the rifleman skill? or to become a COP rank 5 for example... i have looked though the stats pages but i cant see anythign that directly relates to it... guess i actually should spend 40 mins reading some websites :O
 
To improve your rifleman skill, you simply use your rifle from what i've gathered. More kills = higher rank. Cop skill is from witnessing crims perform crimes. Hit ALT when they have a pair of cuffs next to their name.
 
I'm currently running two characters, both on Obeya, one enforcer and one crim.
Enforcer is a lot more satisfying to play.

seems fairly boring to me and the people who are paying for premium have a stupid advantage..

you can tell the f2p players because they die in a few shots like you do, then you come across the people paying refered to as "visa" players that you can unload a full clip into at close range and they still dont die... where as they shoot back with incredible accuracy and a few hits kill you.

all the missions feel the same aswell goto here , press F etc and generally in tight spots where its easy for one side to outcamp the other i was hoping for a game where the combat was more like the BF series but what you end up with is rubbish
 
Pumped quite a few hours into this and got gold threat level on both crim and enforcer but the fun is quickly dieing off. There is no balance in this game, period. You can buy guns for real cash that are better than anything you can get within the game, people can buy max level weapon mods with mass in game cash and have big advantages over newer players who dont, doesn't help when the match making doesn't take into account how long you have played only threat level leading to max out gear opponents. Even the gun balance is horrible, smg, n-tec, sniper, everything else is useless compared to them.

The game can be a blast for a short period, but there is no content over than barbie dress up repeat same objectives 100 times. Unless you have friends to play with, I'd steer clear. The reviews for the first release hold the same for Reloaded, thats my opinion anyway.

I found the Gamespot review pretty accurate for this game (makes a damn change :D), even though its the first release, it is still spot on for this. So anyone wanting to see what the games about its a good watch http://uk.gamespot.com/pc/action/apb/video/6268817/apb-video-review?hd=1

i'm a premium player but really we don't have that much of an advantage except that we get more standing? :confused:

There is one weapon that completely ruins the game: OCA Whisper. Easily the best gun in the game and it's basically pay2win. Looking forward to the new racing district though that should be good fun.
 
Any good can be good, have a mix of long range and close and you'll be good.

And the paid for weapons can be rented easily in game with ingame free money.
 
I can't believe there are that many people on a server that you will come into conatct with who have paid for a $60 gun.

Can't wait for race district, should be real fun.
 
Been playing this loads lately 60h now decided to pay the £6 subscription to get more money and speed up the other boring crap..

I like it loads but i haves some mega issues with putting 30 Ntec 5 bullets in some people and then they turn around and 2 shot me....

Usually Russian players haha.... I have no doubt some players are good, i also get called a hacker once or twice a session... but i never ever ever survive the kind of BS i see other people getting away with on me.... Some serious lag issues with all these Russians and eastern Europeans I played earlier and on a 5 vs 4 mission we died 64 times compared to the only 2 kills i got on my team... that is Complete bull**** - 4 Russian players... I JUST HATE RUSSIANS.. i seriously believe they are born with 600ms ping compensator and aim bots built in.

yes had a 2 vs 3 and they all had them.... its a joke.

i play as "fitty" but usually get annoyed after an hour :P

seems to be full of cheaters right now using the "x22 instahook" thing aimbot , wallhack all in one...
heres a video if you think im making it up

you can usually tell from how quick and fast people can keep an aim on you at close rnage when you jump out of nowhere or from a roof behind someone and they instantly turn around and blast the crap out of you, a lot of people will start firing at a doorway before you even reach it aswell...
a lot of people are super accurate at long ranges aswell with the burst fire rifles
