Noticed that comes with 64Gb RAM and a 1Tb drive. I expected the base Ultra to have 32Gb and 500Gb.
/edit - cheeky. The base Ultra has 48 GPU cores. It’s an extra £1000 to take that up to 64 cores.

M1 Ultra very good imo, can't wait to see the comparisons with other chips!
They should probably spread the chips around better in their products though, i.e the ipads and the macbook pro both using the M1 Chip doesnt sit right with me...
Should be like this:
Phones - A series chips
Ipads - M1 chips (basically AX equivalent)
entry level macbooks/Imac/mac mini - M1 Pro Chips
High end macbooks - M1 Max Chips
Imac Pro/Mac studio - M1 Ultra
Mac Pro - M1 Double Ultra or whatever it'll get called lmao

At work the other day I binned a load of high capacity enterprise SSDs. Each SSD was worth several thousand pounds. The people that will use these things - like the Mac Pro - won’t blink at the price.
Joe blogs is fine with a Mac Mini.
I might see what used Pro XDR prices are like in a year or so though lol.
