Just ordered:

13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display
2.4GHz Dual-core Intel Core i5, Turbo Boost up to 2.9GHz
16GB 1600MHz DDR3L SDRAM
256GB PCIe-based Flash Storage

:D

Question for photographers. Sister is after a new rMBP for photo editing with Photoshop. Is the 13" i5 (dual core) going to be enough for photo editing? She's unsure if the 15" will be too big and heavy for her. I know that the i7 quad core is the better option, buts she is having second thoughts at the moment. Any advice will be greatly received.

If it cant handle photo editing then it isn't worthy of the 'pro' title... The more RAM the better I'd imagine though :)

Work IT say not to upgrade until they have finished testing all the applications etc. - pft, whatever ;)

I was trying to say to fox he doesn't have to whine about model prices.

Let's face it... The ios OS is carp at storing stuff... It just is

If you need 64GB then fair enough, pay the over inflated storage costs, it's your choice. I love apple products.... And couldn't give a monkeys about pricing as cost is not a issue. Personally I don't store stuff on a tablet

I don't disagree with you there at all though, the prices for the extra memory are ridiculous!

I'm not really an apple fan, and generally go for things with memory card slots as I like the extra storage space. However the issue is the same with pretty much every manufacturer, simply crazy prices for extra memory!

Wow a the Mac Pro price.

I'll be building a hackintosh then

How difficult would it have been apple to do a single GPU 6-core for heavens sake?

Going to get the iPad Air in 32GB Space Gray form though... :o

Apple OS updates are incredibly easy and smooth. You also retain all the stuff you had before the update which is more than Windows manages.
