*****Apple Fall Event 22nd Oct*****

Walked into the Currys at Canary Wharf at about 9:20 and picked up a 32GB Black one.
No queue and they appeared to have quite a few stacked up in the window at the time.
 
Right, bit of a dilemma

Ordered 2 :

1. JL - 16Gb Space Grey iPad Air - £399 with 2 year warranty
2. Tesco - 16Gb Silver iPad Air - £348 with clubcard vouchers and £30 discount with 1 year warranty

Which one should i keep?
 
Still a big queue outside the Apple Store in Birmingham Bullring so they must still have stock, nice to see that Apple have produced plenty which will stop people selling them for silly prices on Ebay like with the 5s.
 
Just picked up my 32GB space grey from Argos for £408 - with other halfs staff discounts!!! :D:D:D

Also got 2 x £10 gift cards so effectively £388!

If you get it in Argos make sure you get the second £10 gift card for buying a tablet over £200 (I think) as its not automatic on the till. ;)

I went for the white in the end. I figured once I have the black smart cover on, it will look good with the black and white contrast. I just fancied a change from having black iPhones and iPads all the time. I might not like it as much but at least I can say I tried. For now I think it's smart

Yeah, that was a nice surprise as I was only expecting the one voucher.
Shame they haven't got any cases for the Air at the moment as would use them for that. I'll see what happens before they are due to expire.
 
Only got 1 voucher from Argos :(

Also Currys cancelled my orders with their price mistake.. they sent everyone a really bad excuse of an email..

Luck of the draw I guess. It's quite obviously a pricing mistake so they're under no legal obligation to supply it at that price, just a question of whether their automated systems will actually despatch them before someone realises and intervenes.
 
I also collected a white / silver 64GB Wi-Fi+ Cellular & Red Case from the Apple store on Regent St. So I will be returning the 32GB one I ordered online.

Not my problem if they make such a stupid and obvious error. I'm not so much annoyed that it didn't get honoured, I expected that. What annoys me is their terrible lie of an excuse to their customers... At least be honest.
 
We'll not so much of a lie but a totally incorrect, irrelevant statement.

"Thank you for shopping with us. These items are unavailable for home delivery at this time. We have cancelled your order....."
What does that have to do with collecting it? People have rang up and heard lies from cs though.
