I don’t use my AirPods Max very often but the quality always surprises me (in a good way).

They’re undoubtedly the best one for macs but I’ve been through a few of them now, with my latest breaking just outside of the warranty period. Exact same issue as the others and Logitech just shrugged their shoulders

Scroll wheel each time. It starts skipping multiple lines at once, and over the period of a few months eventually breaks altogether.

It’s quite a hefty upgrade.

I came from a 2018 i9 and the newer MacBooks feel quicker and are noticeably quieter.

Battery life is the main improvement for me - if I’m out working for the day I don’t need to bring a charger at all.

I'm in the exact same boat, my 2019 mbp does a similar job radiating heat as my cats and it has a new home lined up, just needs apple to release M3 on the world

@MrRockliffe yeh battery life has gone down a lot for me, Coconut is reporting 81% design capacity with 91 cycles (I've had it replaced once already). It's also struggling just with day to day work and having Youtube running now

I turned my old one on the other day to get some stuff off it. It was like a jet engine the entire time. Pretty sure Apple did this on purpose though as I don’t ever remember my 2017 i7 being this hot for basic tasks.

The Magic Mouse needs a complete redesign, I don't understand how some people can find it comfortable to use. To me, it's a device fit for torture.

I mean I used to have a Logitech G502 Hero which was pretty awesome but I wanted to go wireless. I still have it so I might pull it out of the draw to see what it feels like after not using it for. a few months.

Horizontal scroll for me. I work on spreadsheets a fair bit and so it’s mega.

But tempted to get a Magic Trackpad instead as the MX Master keeps dying.

G/Pro series perhaps?
Out of the usual contenders, Razer seem to be one of the only manufacturers that doesn't support MacOS (it'll work as a mouse but their software is PC only), so there's plenty of gaming/high polling mice around to choose from.
