M3 anyone?

17:00 Pacific time - Apple have said that it’s 23:59 on Monday so effectively midnight. https://www.apple.com/uk/apple-events/

The USA time is 5pm so I think they’ve said 11:59pm in the UK just to avoid the confusion of putting 00:00 and having people looking for it a day early or a day late.

If they’d used the 24 hour clock then that shouldn’t be an issue but that’s not in common usage in the USA so they probably assume it’s the same elsewhere.

It won’t be starting a minute early for us.

It seems sensible to remove any doubt over which day it is by getting that country to sit down a minute early.

Rumours are strong for the M3 MBP line up now. I'm now in need of a new laptop so good chance it will get my money.

I guess maybe their OCD meant they didn’t want the event on a different day in the UK and US :P

Do you think they’ll just do a press release launch for the Mac mini M3s if it’s not part of this presentation? (Not that anyone is saying to expect it on Monday).

The event .ics they provide for this shows two hour duration. I don't know if that's what they normally allocate for their events but if it's two hours then there's potentially a lot of stuff coming.

30mins of that will be stuff coming. The rest 1hr and 30mins will be their usual Apple jibber-jabber no one cares about.

MacRumours now suggesting a new Magic Mouse. If it happens and it's a decent size compared to the current awful one, I might give it a try. I do own the current one but I've not really used a mouse on a Mac since July 2010.

Hopefully it is a complete redesign with better internals (perhaps better suited for gaming to some degree) as it's certainly time for it, especially a change of port location.
Although as mice go, unless you're into the touch gesture guff, then there are a lot, lot better mice in that sort of price range - MX Master isn't much more etc.

Logitech MX Master 3S for Mac has been great for me since I got it. I have the Magic Trackpad as well but that is in a draw somewhere.

Incoming lightning port to usb-c as the only change :D
