It's not for music, I only have about 30GB of music, it's films and TV shows. I just prefer having all my music on me because if I only listened to my favourite songs, I'd only have about 100 mp3's on me and that would get boring

iPhone will NEVER replace the iPod.

Apple sells millions of iPod's every year and is still their biggest selling product. Not everyone wants to have an iPhone and would prefer just to have an iPod.

I would get the 64GB version.

This

i've got a few anti apple mates who love their HTC android phones.

They still own iPods, as there is really nothing else to challenge them in the mp3 player market place.

Agreed pod classic for the backpacker is a must , I took my 80 GIG one with all my music on it for 18 months awesome piece of kit battery life of 36 hours constant play priceless for those 30 - 40 hour journeys via coach and boat ;)

And yes, the reason there hasn't been a 64GB iPhone is because it would replace the iPod Touch, why would be buy an iPod touch when the Classic still exists (for now) if the 64GB iPhone and Touch were similar prices (I know some fanboys would buy both but thats just stupid, how many of you own an iPhone, iPod Touch and an iPad?)

My understanding is that the reason there hasn't been a 64GB iPhone has been the price and availability of 64GB chips.

The 64GB iPod Touch actually uses two 32GB chips, but the iPhone doesn't have enough room inside it for two.

Well there is no excuse for that any longer since there has been 128GB chips available for over a year now. Although a 64GB iphone would be I believe a way for Apple to keep the price of the iphone high but looking like they are justifying it by adding more memory capacity.

I do think they'll make a 128GB touch if they drop the classic this year, as there would be no other option for an Apple user for a large capacity device any longer.

Is it likely a new Macbook Pro update will be announced?

I shouldn't think so - As ps3ud0 said, they like to keep their product updates usually separate, with Macbooks and iMacs and then iPhones and iPods :p

I would imagine the next Macbook Pro update will be a small update, not enough to warrant an actual presentation - They normally just sneak them out into the store without even a press report :p

They've really kept this one under wraps - I expected more rumours by now :p

Wouldn't it be funny if the new iPhone looked completely different :p
