Basically Apple Watch demoes are a bunch of the same stuff Android Wear watches do now, but with different gestures and buttons.

That's about it in a nutshell.

5-6 hours to start with when you're touching it every 10 seconds. Give it a month and it'll last all day when you're bored with it and treat it as just a watch.

Have you tried developing for Android Wear? It's a nightmare. You have to write everything from scratch. Anything is possible but everything is difficult.

Apple have got this right - apps take days or weeks to write rather than months.

Indeed. It's not about who does things first, it's about who does them right, or at least does them in a way people (or developers/companies) actively want to or find easy to use.

$349 and $399 for the sport edition, that's me sorted. I'll be using it in the gym, so that's the one for me. Don't want to mess up a nice steel strap
