I'm kinda stupid, I've enabled the Geofeed option on the ebilling site but am not sure where to input the information. Is this something I need to raise a ticket for?

There is nothing to input. The geofeed data, once enabled, will be locked to the town/city of where your broadband install is.

I wouldn't have expected there to be an option to enter your own info* - and Acquiss know who you are/where you are. Having said that I don't know anything about this service but it doesn't seem to take them long to reply here

*people would abuse it in various ways that might be problematical to Acquiss (eg sports streaming)

I think the answer is "it depends"

I'm not 100% sure but fast.com already shows me being in Edinburgh, I wouldn't be surprised that Netflix were that keen to get up to date, accurate IP locations as their business model depends on it.

It depends on which geoip company each websites use. We refresh our data every 1 hour, so it really depends on how quickly each geoip company pulls it. The main commercial service is maxmind, who seem to take upwards of 14 days, but many of the other providers are much quicker than that.
