The Blue Gate Armored Transport quest is glitched for me. I obtained the key card but was killed before I could get into the safe pocket & now despite it saying I have it I can't unlock any patrol cars. I've hunted up & down Blue Gate but have yet to find another key as it doesn't seem to respawn in the place I first got it.

This has been a known bug since launch, they key is incorrectly treated as not a mission item but a regular item and once in mission it has been found (and lost) it wont ever appear in the mission again. However due to this the key actually does appear in the map it's just very rare, and if found can be used to unlock the patrol car. Xaldub on the formus kindly gave me one they found for me to fix the bug in my quest. Ask about any friends if they have them, they're no good for anything else. There's like 1 gun case inside the patrol car and that's it, so loot wise it's rubbish anyway.

You will be glad to hear I did confirm this mission is the last in it's chain, there's no more after it, and the rewards are pretty pants anyway, so other than for completionists, it doesn't matter too much. If I find another patrol car key in the map I will keep it and msg on the forums so you can grab it off me.

For anyone else reading, if you do this mission, the instant you pick up the keycard, just safe pocket it, if you die doing the mission you can bring it back in. But it does mean doing it with an augment that has a safe pocket, so you can't run a free kit. If you find a spare key, please keep it so you can share with those in need, it's quite rare it spawns and if you have one, you'll make someones day donating it to them.

It's actually really egg on face for embark, there's so many little things like this that should be easy for literally an intern to fix in 5 minutes, and they've just done nothing about it.

If you've lost the key card after dying, then it's not glitched it's working as intended. You'll need to find another while looting unfortunately. It won't respawn as a freebie for you after that first one.

Expedition details released

Why did you become a Raider?

Perhaps Speranza has always been too small for you. Maybe it’s the thrill of danger, the feel of fresh air on your skin, or the promise of wealth that’s only available Topside.

Whatever your reason, all Raiders share one thing in common: the spirit of adventure.

The Expedition Project

The Expedition hit a minor delay, and the window will now open on 17th December. You will have a six-day period in which your Raider can choose to leave The Rust Belt for good. By departing in the Caravan you have constructed in the Expedition Project, you will restart your journey with certain buffs and advantages. We want to take you through some of these here.

So, you’re leaving Speranza?

When the Expedition departs, all items in your Raider’s stash will be contributed toward it. Your next Raider can earn up to five skill points based on the total value of your Stash and Coins at the time of departure. One million Coins worth of value equals one extra skill point for your new Raider.

When you restart, everything tied to your progress will be reset. This means your Skill Tree, Level, Stash, Workshop, Crafting Abilities, and Blueprints. It’s worth noting that the initial onboarding from your first deployment in Speranza will be skipped - that means all maps and potential workshop upgrades will be available as soon as you reset.

Your new Raider won’t totally restart at square one. By resetting, you will unlock the following advantages and rewards:

Permanent Unlocks:

  • The Patchwork Raider outfit
  • Scrappy Janitor Cap
  • Expeditions Indicator icon
  • Skill points (depending on Stash value)
  • +12 Stash space

Temporary Buffs:

  • 10% repair buff
  • 5% xp boost
  • 6% more materials from Scrappy
While Skill Points, extra Stash space, and cosmetics are permanent unlocks, the account buffs will expire if you choose not to depart with the subsequent expedition. Bear in mind, buffs will increase in power for your next three expeditions (but only one departure allowed per Expedition Window!).

Remember, the Expedition Window will be open from 17th December and last until 22nd December. You must sign up during this period, and everyone automatically departs at the same time on the 22nd.

The value of your Stash and Coins will be counted when the window closes - so don’t stop looting before then. If you choose not to depart this time around, don’t worry - your progress toward building a Caravan will be preserved, so you can keep working on it until the next window opens in a couple of months.

Why are we doing it like this?

Progression wipes are a notoriously difficult thing to balance in online multiplayer games - we get that. Mandatory global wipes have some obvious benefits: heavily invested players get to re-experience the initial grind once again and, for a time, the playing field is levelled.

The optional Expedition Project is our solution to some of the problems that inevitably arise with mandatory wipes - specifically, by respecting your time investment in the game. We want to offer you the choice:

Not completed as much as you’d like? Keep on raiding, building, and growing. Ready for a new challenge and to grind once again? Depart on the Expedition, and receive buffs, rewards, and bragging rights.

For now, the story is yours to write - we can’t wait to see what you decide!

With love,
The ARC Raiders Team

Good place to find them is in the apartment buildings in the North

I'm not resetting this time anyway, never planned to.

The skill points thing is steep though, I got about o1.3m I thought that was a lot but I guess not if that would only get me 1 skill point.

I might reset next time, the loss of the blueprints is a bit of a kick though so I'm not completely sold on the idea, the rest of it I'm not all that bothered.

I got killed whilst carrying the key too. I got lucky when a random gave me a spare he had, but it's worth noting that once the armored car is open, anyone can complete the quest. Might be worth asking if anyone else is doing the quest too, and join them.

I dont intend on resetting. The unlocks/buffs dont seem worth the graft to get back to the same place again. At least not this one, we'll see if they improve the rewards for doing so in future. However, as it stands thats pretty meh rewards for starting back at almost square one. As BUDFORCE says the loss of blueprints itself is a massive kick.
I get that they have to balance it out so its not overly powerful leaving newcomers hugely behind the curve but still, its not nearly enough to entice me.

I'm still going to do my expedition, if there really is gear based matchmaking then I will have a whole new group of people to be friendly with :D

I mean you've clearly enabled care bear mode via some console commands so why not.

I'm guessing when you first drop after resetting, they'll be queuing up to drop you all the replacement blueprints you need.
