Arc Raiders

lmao, have you played since they announced the 1 million per coins per skill point announcement? It's an utter murder fest now. I've not heard 1 single "dont shoot" in like 20 games tonight, even when taking free kits and getting matched with free kit players, i've not found one player even using comms. It's absolute anarchy at the moment lol, I just ran free kits for like of 15 those 20 rounds. My guess is everyone is scrambling to get that 5 mil mil mark before the reset.

The number of rats has gone up substantially, camping lifts. If you go straight to one after spawn, you'll meet a free kit person almost instantly who is going there to risk a quick gunfight with someone extracting and just nab the loot. I suspect the number of people actually looting at this stage is rapidly dropping, it's basically just PvP at this point. I wonder how long that will last :D

I've sold everything in my stash and been running free load outs until I build a decent one with loot. Rinse repeat.

Pretty liberating, and I know now how much more I need for the 5mil goal.

Weirdly been playing duos with my mate today, played 4/5 this morning, then about the same this evening just now.

We didn't die once today, and yes whilst we were being careful we did run in to several teams all of which were friendly, or at least..... we made them wary enough not to start shooting.

I got some good **** today actually including a Bettina blueprint.

I haven't seen any extract campers today, but I did see a pile of bodies outside a field depot one round. (One of them had a lot of player-loot, presumably the camper).

Then some douchebag in a similar outfit to the loaded dead raider deleted me as I approached the same field depot on a different round. He wasn't using it or looting, he was waiting (well, he was looting me I guess).

So I think field depot camping is also on the menu as people try to do deliverables.

Hooked on this game but... I need some ARC friends who can play on U.S. time please :D generally PVE-focused, but happy to get stuck in when facing naughty people

Yup that's the trials and people trying to up their score for sunday night cutoff.

Nice I've been meaning to duo and trio up again, sleep has gone a bit willy wonka last few days. I think duos and trios are largely unchanged, Trios is more or less KoS as you'd expect, duos has always been a bit of a mixed bag in my experience.

But solos is like...hell. Basically most of the open maps are now starting to look like Stella Montis, I heard one shot in the burined city hospital earlier at night, I turned to face the building, and the whole side got lit up with gunfire across all the floors, i think like 7 solos opened fire on each other at once, it was brutal. Everyone is mega on edge it feels.

Did a 'naked' run into an Electromagetic Storm, with only a Looting 2 backback, and managed to dodge Arc, got hit by lightning a couple of times, and eventually made it to the extract, got downed at the last minute by another lightning strike but crawled inside with another couple of raiders. One of which then decides to attack me with a hammer and knock me out. What was the point? He had no time to loot.

Still I didn't lose anything as I'd only got some salvage from downed Arcs. A very fun, tense run, spoiled by an idiot at the end.

I now block every raider that knocks me out. It's a hall of shame.

3.2 Mil in the bank now, probably about a mil left in my stash after gutting it, feel like I'm fairly close to 5 now. Why they just didn't give you a total value somewhere to check I have no idea...

how many hrs do you think you are talking to get to that point? I am definitely not resetting this time but just wondering if realistically it is something I will ever do.

Just had my first Raider kill for a while. Some guy took a pot-shot at me on a roof, missed, so I took him out. I said I don't shoot first, but he claimed he'd not shot at me. He didn't emote or call out over comms until he was downed, which is a usual tell that they're not friendly.

Is there somewhere you can see the value of your stash?
You can select everything in your stash (can only select individually unfortunately) and right click and get the value that way. Careful you dont click Sell :D
Puts me at about 2.8m right now, so a fair way to go if I want all 5 points.

I made 1mil today in just under 4 hrs. I stopped during that time to stretch legs and eat etc.

I've got the security lockers skill so I can breach those for loot. I ran a free loadout, joined a higher value game like electrical storms or night raids, then ran to the areas I knew had decent loot. (Starting with lockers if I got a crap weapon).

With a free loadout I could surrender if I was out in the sticks or the round was nearly over to save me wasting time.

In general I think I got lucky in where I loaded in, and only surrendered twice because I was so far away.
On a couple of runs my planned route had been completely looted, if I was close to an extract at that point I left without searching more to get a new round quickly. If not I looted on the way, but these rounds took a little longer.
I saw one extract camper and that also made the round longer.

Average round time was 10mins in and out. Then load up a new free loadout, rinse repeat. Once my stash was full I sold it all and started again.

I was laser focussed and ignoring everything else while I was in game. If I encountered anything hostile, this pushed the time up, but on the whole each run was a quick in and out.

I started with almost exactly 3mil after selling all my stuff.
By the time I was done I had a little over 4.1million.

I don't know if this is good or bad in terms of coins per hour, but it felt really good.

Most surprising of all (to me anyway) was that I didn't die once.

excellent . that is good to know. I am not even close to that , not remotely but that is mostly just game knowledge and that will come with time. with a bit of luck I will make a caravan next time then.
thanks for the info.

just had a few games on the steamdeck and had a good time of it fighting along side players as we extracted. only 1 person killed me - but unfortunate as I had a part I need for an upgrade but thems the breaks

Finally got my uncontested Bastion kill to upgrade my last bench.

Now I'm stuck on the Lidar mission as I have misplaced (probably sold!) the Lidar scanners, so I have to find some more.

I really need Tombstones luck, got taken out by someone getting the drop on me and obliterating my shield before I could react. Geared up and went out again, this time took down a Rocketeer....damn, those things are tough.

I'm on 170 hours played so far. Although I have spent a lot of money I probably didn't need to. I upgraded and modded many of the guns I ended up selling, and this is super inefficient. Basically all upgrades devalue your stash because the final product is worth less than the recipe ingredients to make it. If I'd know from the start it was going to be 5 mil, I maybe could have banked that already by simply selling raw materials rather than crafting.

Progress towards the expeditions isn't lost if you don't take the reset window. It doesn't need to be done inside 1 season it will roll over. Also you can always reset one season with less than 5 mil, you just wont get all 5 skills points. Honestly the skill points are basically useless. You can go a check what speed differences or noise differences you get when breaching or whatever. it's very small.

Definitely agree with that.

I would have made sure I hit 5 mil before spending on anything if I had known.
