Arc Raiders

I'm probably skipping this expedition as I reset on the last one, the workbenches and blueprint reset wasn't really worth it for me. Depends on what carrot they are going to keep offering with this format.
 
So one thing that never really occurred - I get what I'd consider fairly bad FPS. I'm on sort of medium/high settings but get around 30-40 fps.

GPU is 3090 and CPU is i9 10900k, they're about 6 years old but still would have thought it'd perform better?

should absolutely be performing better than that. i've a vega64 (absolutely ancient gpu) paired with a 5700x3d and i'm getting better frame rates. albeit on mostly medium settings.

These are currently my settings. Any advice appreciated. I've also noticed I'm always last to load into our games. We're talking like 10 seconds later. Such that if squad mates have pinged a location I'm not even in game to get it yet

Doesn't seem right to me. This system in my signature gets 100 fps, all cinematic settings, DLSS quality at 1440p. It isn't that much more powerful than yours.

If you're at 4k, I'd expect at least 60fps.

They spawn in other areas as well so if its not there try and keep an ear out for them walking around or their flying spotters.

I found the Bombardier spawns more than the Bastion but when I want to find 1 I never do lol

I would try turning down global illumination from high. You might have great raster performance in the 3090, but I expect raytracing performance is pretty low.
 
RT is better than 3000 series I believe, but I'm using static, which is baked right?

i can't help or advise on your specific settings (my card doesn't have any of the bells and whistles modern cards have) but if you're finding yourself loading in late every raid then i'd suggest your game needs to be on a faster drive. what you currently got it installed on - not a mech drive by any chance?

What res? I've just moved from a 3080 at 4k so I can help out
 
It's installed on a Crucial P1 M2 2TB drive! Baffles me why it's so slow. Running a CrystalDiskMark gives me this. Not sure why sequential writes are that low, maybe that's me showing my age - last time I really touched PC equipment was this build 6 years ago.

I'd definitely try a different drive if you can. Or go the whole hog if you have a spare drive and chuck a complete new Windows build and the game on there.

I have just been playing buried City night raid and it spawned every time (4 games) Infront of the Library walking around Marano Park.

Edit - What are you after from them? their drives\cores?

Ok Seb. Change from transformer to CNN then from DLAA to DLSS quality. Transformer for me ran worse and I had loads of artefacts in grass etc

Turn FOV to 75 from 80, turn RTGI to static.

You can turn texture to legendary, draw distance to legendary too or at least try it
